Gen Kelsang Pagpa is the National Spiritual Director for the New Kadampa Tradition in South Africa. He is also the Resident Teacher of Tushita Kadampa Meditation Centre in Cape Town and gives meditation classes, half-day courses, day and away retreats throughout the year. Gen Pagpa was ordained in 1996 by his Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

His heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone. He shows the joy of living a spiritual life, and is an inspiring example of Buddhism in practice. Through his clear presentation, he is able to help student discover for themselves how to integrate these timeless teachings into our modern world, making everyday life joyful and meaningful.






Kelsang Sangkyong has been ordained since 2008 and moved to Tushita Centre from Joburg in May 2017.

He taught for several years in Joburg & Pretoria and now gives regular classes at the Centre. He has a light and joyful approach to sharing Dharma teachings.












Chantelle Davies shows a wonderful example of joy and humility and recently started giving the meditation classes in Milnerton on Wednesday evenings.










Sheila Selfe has been following the Buddhist path for many years and is a dedicated Kadampa practitioner. She has a busy family life and shows a good example of combining meditation with daily life.

Sheila teaches the Sunday morning classes in Simon’s Town.












Ekin Kench has been teaching Buddhism & Meditation for many years. She teaches the children’s meditation class monthly on Saturdays.
