Get away from it all with a weekend away in the beautiful setting of Bodhi Khaya Retreat Centre. DIRECTIONS

On this long weekend retreat, Gen Pagpa will guide you in teachings and meditations to transform your life. The retreat starts Friday evening. These teachings are very suitable for those new to Buddhism as well as those who are already familiar with Buddhist teachings.

This meditation retreat includes practical and useful techniques for keeping a peaceful mind throughout the day and guarding our mind from negativity. These meditations help us relax, improve our concentration, increase our capacity to cope with busy life and be of more benefit to others. Other benefits include better sleep, improved physical and emotional health, reduced stress and anxiety and generally making us happier!

Please note we will be keeping contemplative silence until lunchtime and after the last session on each day.

The retreat schedule will allow lots of time for quiet relaxation and community, enjoying delicious meals, and exploring the beautiful countryside in the nature reserve. In keeping with the new community ethos at Bodhi Khaya we have been asked for each retreat participant to contribute one hour of light work on the estate after lunch on Saturday & Sunday.

The Teacher:

Gen Pagpa is the National Spiritual Director for the New Kadampa Tradition in South Africa and the Resident Teacher of Tushita Centre in Cape Town.
His heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone.
