These days, many people suffer from anxiety and stress at some time or other. Sometimes it is due to stressful work, sometimes due to problems at home, and sometimes due to difficult relationships.
On this course, we will find out how anxiety and stress, as well as other conditions such as tension, nervousness, worry and depression have their roots in our state of mind and show how we can reduce and eventually overcome these conditions by working on our mind with a combination of meditation and positive thinking.
We will be given practical advice on dealing with anxiety and stress in daily life and meditations will be guided that anyone can practice at home.
Gen Pagpa was ordained in 1996 and has been the Resident Teacher of Tushita Centre since 2007. He was appointed as the National Spiritual Director for the New Kadampa Tradition in South Africa in 2015.
He teaches the Foundation Programme on Monday evenings and drop-in meditation classes in Bloubergsands, Somerset West, Tamboerskloof and Tushita Centre and gives half-day courses, day and away retreats throughout the year.
He is well known for teaching in a light and practical way and shows us how to solve our problems and find true happiness.
