Tranquil Abiding away retreat

Goedgedacht Olive Farm, near Malmesbury (one hour from Cape Town – DIRECTIONS)

Peace of mind is priceless. Whenever it arises we’re happy, our body becomes comfortable, and we have a good influence on the people around us. Tranquil abiding is a superior state of peace that arises through training stage by stage in meditation.

In this retreat we will work on improving our meditation skills and our understanding of our mind. In particular, through training in mindfulness, we learn how to abide in meditation without distraction. Through contemplating and meditating on the nature of the mind itself, we have an opportunity to enjoy a deep stillness and clarity of mind.

During this retreat we will deepen our experience of concentration on one object of meditation over many sessions. BOOKINGS

This retreat is suitable for beginners or for experienced meditators, and will give everyone a chance to stabilize their minds.

 

 

The Retreat Teacher is Buddhist monk, Kelsang Sangkyong. He gives regular classes at Tushita Centre and has a light and joyful approach to sharing Dharma teachings. He has been teaching at Tushita Kadampa Meditation Centre since May 2017.
