In this course we will explore some timeless advice from the Buddhist tradition on how we can develop and maintain a sense of well being, protect our self from becoming unhappy and practice self-care without being selfish.
We may find that sometimes when we care about others, we may prioritize their needs and wishes while completely neglecting the need to care for our self. If we do this we can easily end up exhausted or burned out.
Through practicing the instructions presented in this course we can learn to transform the act of caring for our self into part of our spiritual practice of cherishing others. In this way we can protect and look after our own happiness and wellbeing, while at the same time being of benefit to others.
Things we will explore in this course are:
- What can we do to prevent stress and anxiety?
- How can we find a balanced and fulfilling life?
- How can we nurture compassion for others without it making us unhappy?
