I struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember. I was so familiar with the feeling that I identified with it: ‘I am an anxious person’. This thought pattern had become a necessary part of how I processed the challenges I faced in my life.
Welcome to a new series of meditation classes Fish Hoek. In this 4-part series, we will explore how through meditation we can fulfil our deepest wishes for a happy life.
Worry, anxiety, despair and depression consume both energy and can harm relationships. In order to overcome these obstacles that prevent us from being truly happy, we’ll learn practical methods to transform our world and bring hope, purpose and meaning to our lives. The classes are on Sunday mornings (10:00 – 11:15 am) at The Lily Pad (102 Kommetjie Road, between 14th and 15th Avenue) in Fish Hoek.

Kriss Barker
Kriss Barker has been following the Buddhist path for many years and is a dedicated Kadampa practitioner.
She teaches at Tushita KMC and also currently at Kalk Bay.
