This Lamrim Meditation Retreat in Cape Town is based on the Lamrim meditations, a series of meditations that includes all the essential teachings of Buddha, structured in a comprehensive way that is easy to understand and put into practice. Lamrim means the stages of the path to enlightenment.
Lamrim meditations help us to solve the problems of daily life and maintain a calm and happy mind all the time. Eventually we can attain permanent freedom from the inner causes of all worry, fear and problems and help others to do the same. Lamrim is the very essence of Buddha’s teachings and is very practical – ideally suited to modern life.
The retreat will be fully guided by Gen Kelsang Namkhyen and is based on the book The Mirror of Dharma with Additions by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
