- WHO WE ARE -
Come meditate in Cape Town with us. We are a non-profit Organisation entirely run by volunteers, aiming to bring peace and harmony to the people of Cape Town and beyond by making meditation and Buddha's teachings available to everyone regardless of race, gender or age.
Our Buddhist Temple and Meditation Centre is a member of the The New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), an association of Mahayana Buddhist study and Meditation Centres founded in 1991 by the internationally renowned Buddhist teacher and accomplished meditation master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
Our meditation classes provide a supportive environment to learn and practice techniques that promote stress reduction, emotional balance, improved focus, and enhanced self-awareness for everyone
Our weekend courses offer a deep dive into various techniques and how to apply them in daily life, helping participants cultivate a consistent meditation practice and experience the numerous benefits that come with it
Our meditation retreats provide an immersive experience in a tranquil environment, allowing participants to deepen their meditation practice, nurture inner peace, and connect with a community of like-minded individuals
Dharma study sessions offer valuable insights into ancient Buddhist teachings, fostering wisdom, compassion, and ethical living, ultimately leading to personal growth and a more meaningful and fulfilling life based on the books by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
