Our Teachers
All teachers at Tushita Kadampa Meditation Centre are qualified meditation teachers who have been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for many years. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Gen Kelsang Namkhyen
is the Resident Teacher of Tushita Kadampa Meditation Centre.
He has been ordained as a Buddhist monk for twenty-two years and taught extensively in the UK and The Netherlands before coming to South Africa in 2020.

Kelsang Sangkyong
has been ordained since 2008 and moved to Tushita KMC from Johannesburg in May 2017.
He taught for several years in Johannesburg & Pretoria and now gives regular classes at the Centre. He has a light and joyful approach to sharing Dharma teachings.

Chantelle Davies
shows a wonderful example of joy and humility and she gives the meditation classes in Milnerton on Wednesday evenings.

Sheila Selfe
has been following the Buddhist path for many years and is a dedicated Kadampa practitioner. She has a busy family life and shows a good example of combining meditation with daily life.

Kriss Barker

Mary Jane Mayer
