Description

This series of meditation classes helps us understand that there is nothing more important than our mind. It shapes our experiences and perceptions, and it is the source of all our suffering and happiness, including the pure and lasting happiness of enlightenment. Because of this it is said that the mind is the creator of all.

Throughout this course we will explore how our thoughts and feelings influence our daily life and relationships with others. We will learn to observe our mind without judgment in order to recognize unhelpful patterns and cultivate a more peaceful state of being.

We will understand that meditation is not just about quieting the mind; it's about understanding its complexities and harnessing its power for personal growth and benefiting others.

Meditation Class Format

GUIDED MEDITATION

Each class begins with guided breathing meditation to help let go of distractions and settle the mind into an experience of inner peace.

BUDDHIST TEACHING

The teacher will then give practical advice, based on the topic of the class, explaining how we can integrate Buddha's timeless wisdom into our busy daily lives.

DISCUSSION

The class will conclude with a second guided meditation to help us take the teaching to heart. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
