Sometimes we may feel isolated or disconnected from other people. We may feel ordinary and cut off from the pure and the holy. We can also feel limited within our self and unable to reach our goals. These feelings are like walls, or barriers, in our mind. They can seem quite fixed but by simply changing our mind we can break these walls and barriers down.
On this Meditation Retreat in Western Cape, we focus on some of Buddha's teachings and meditations that connect us with others through opening our heart, help us find a source of inspiration within our self, and show us how to free our potential. Each session of the retreat consists of preparatory prayers, teachings, meditations and questions and answers. Between sessions there is plenty of time to relax, explore the surroundings or meet other people.

"This immersive experience empowers us to carry the transformative benefits of meditation into our daily lives"
A Kadampa Buddhist Meditation Retreat offers profound opportunities for inner transformation and spiritual growth. During these retreats we immerse our self in a tranquil environment away from the distractions of daily life. This allows for a deepening of our meditation practice.
Through guidance and teachings we cultivate mindfulness, compassion and wisdom whilst nurturing a profound sense of inner peace.
The retreats provide a perfect space to explore the potential of our mind, promote clarity and an insight into the nature of reality.
By engaging in meditation sessions we can purify our minds, reduce stress, and develop a more profound connection with our true nature. This immersive experience empowers us to carry the transformative benefits of meditation into our daily lives promoting harmony, inner strength along with a deeper understanding of our self and our world.
The retreat will be held at Goedgedacht Farm, a picturesque farm on the mountain slopes of the Riebeek Valley, only about an hour from Cape Town. The farm is peaceful and serene, and the rooms offer stunning views over rows of grapevines and olive trees, out to the surrounding valley below. The venue has a charming multifaith chapel, which is where we hold the meditation sessions and classes. In the mountains behind the farm, there are multiple hiking and mountain biking trails, suitable for all fitness levels. There is also a lovely small dam for swimming.
More information can be found on the Goedgedacht Farm Website.
